Privacy
When you authorize a Facebook application, that application gets access to certain information that you have uploaded to Facebook or generated as a result of your interactions on the site.
We would like to be clear about what information we collect when you authorize the Farm Rescue Facebook game and how it is used. When you authorize the Farm Rescue Facebook game, it accesses the following information about you:
- Your Facebook User ID. This is just a number, like 1234567890, and is the number that appears in the URL of your profile, like this: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=68310606562 (Mark Zuckerberg's profile). This is the only piece of information about you from your facebook profile that we store in our system. This ID is only used to identify your game data, so that when you log into the game through Facebook, we can recall the state of your game. In order to store information about your items and animals, we associate them with your Facebook user ID.
- Your profile picture. This is loaded directly from Facebook and displayed within the flash interface. We do not store it. It is only used to temporarily display your picture on your Rescuer card at the bottom of the screen within the game.
- Your first name. This is also requested directly from Facebook and is not stored in our system. It is only used to temporarily display your name within the game.
That's it. We don't request or collect any other information about you from Facebook's servers, and we don't provide any information we access about you to anyone else.
You should also be aware of how your interactions within the game are shared with your friends. If you have accepted a neighbor request from a friend, or a friend has sent you a neighbor request that you accepted, then information about your Farm Rescue game will be shared with that friend. Your picture and first name will appear at the bottom of their game screen, and they will be able to click on your picture in order to visit your Rescue. You and your friend may also see updates about each other's game activity on your Facebook Game Dashboard. For example, if you send your friend a gift, they will get a one-line news story under the Farm Rescue application alerting them that you have sent them a gift. The Games Dashboard also shows information about your friends activity within the game. If you have any further questions about this privacy policy, please contact us.
